- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease or line a muffin tin.
- Mix wheat bran and buttermilk; let sit 5 minutes to soften.
- Stir in oil, egg, brown sugar, and vanilla.
- In another bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
- Combine wet and dry ingredients until just blended.
- Spoon batter into muffin cups about 3/4 full.
- Bake for 18–20 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
